Jazz For Kids are interactive jazz concerts for families in Frankfurt and the surrounding area.
Our mission
We devised the developmental programme with its games and all the staging ideas ourselves.
Experienced composers adapt our song arrangements especially for children. Past venues include Campuskirche, Villa Gründergeist and Nord-Ost Gemeinde Bornheim.
Jazz For Kids started at home. With my child, I was often looking for concerts and events that both of us would truly enjoy.
Many were too hectic to ever catch my breath, or musically too simple for our taste. I wanted one hour in which my child joins in with excitement while I lean back and enjoy good music.
Having sung jazz semi-professionally myself, I knew how much joy, humour and freedom this music holds. So I brought the concert I had been looking for to the stage myself: concerts where children may be loud and parents can unwind.

Every band member also plays in jazz clubs. The band changes from date to date. Who plays when is listed with each date.
What we believe
One hour of live singing with improvisation and humour – the kids let off steam, you unwind.
Singing the made-up menu from the playground? – Yes! All the songs are about things children know and love.
Scatting and growling for every child. You watch your child grow beyond themselves – without having to lift a finger.
Funny games and stories from jazz history – you’ll laugh together like you haven’t in ages.
Jazz For Kids concerts are family events. Children under 3 go free, family combo tickets are cheaper, and in Frankfurt the Frankfurt-Pass gets you a discount.
